Still have to sign out, which means i have to tidy all my HSC things up which I'm kindof lazy to do atm aiyahhh.

Learning life skills #1

I learnt how to cook an omelette today. My parents have been obsessed lately about how i have no life/ independent skills and have been teaching me how to cook/ mow the lawn. Yes i dont know how to mow the lawn and im 17 and a half, don't judge me guys :) but in conclusion i did it, and am proud to say that my breakfast repertoire includes: scrambled eggs, wholemeal oats, omelette. (8 should get me through uni huh hahhaha.

Yolo bbqing in the rain with the fam. I swear i bbq more times in cloudy/rainy weather than i do under the sun.

Yesterday was a pretty disappointing final. But murray did well considering he had half the time to rest and had to play an epicly tiring 5 setter against federer, whereas djokovic rolled through ferrer and had an extra day to rest :/ NO HARD FEELINGS DJOKOVIC FANS HAHAA. Also L's test on wednesday. not. late. at. all. :)

Practice smiling.

Something ive been doing because i dont want to end up having a dodgy id photo for the rest of my uni life LOLOL
Things that annoy me because I'm not 18 yet:
- morning glory will not accept my resume
- cannot join gym
- cannot go clubbing with friends
- cannot get own medicare card
- cannot pay for phone with my own bank account
- cannot claim own youth allowance
- cannot get a fuggen parramatta library card

and other various day to day things that require you to be 18... just need to survive another 4 months :/

and also happy australia day :)

you know what prevents me from sleeping? tennis, did anyone watch the wawrinka/ djokovic match ZOMG. wawrinka really did play some amazing tennis, i was rooting for him :( everyone goes for djokovic but i always go for the underdog, except kei nishikori i really hope he wins a slam :( and also really surprised at the amount of people who watch tennis hahaha pretty much EVERYONE guys and girls, children and elderly LOL I'm glad i play tennis i can really appreciate the beauty of their matchplay even more now :) but it's just so much harder irl how about that 71 shot rally between monfils and simon (not a great match tbh) i couldnt keep a rally going for more than 10, before i make an unforced error ahaha, finally got a new phone- whatsapp here i come LOOOL

Downed this baby with the boys after our tennis sesh, mmmm pandan flavoured soy milk (Y)

Hottest day on record

So it was 46 degrees yesterday LOL thank god i chose to play tennis today and not yesterday. WHY IS IT SO MUCH HARDER IN REAL LIFE THAN IT LOOKS ON TV AHAH. speaking of the australian open on the tv, my god the 'bounce' advertisement is played SO many times, im going remember that 12B breasts bounce up to 8cm for the rest of my life fml. Good job channel 7 (Y) watching the monfils vs simon match, the french commentators are so funny hahah, all commentators should be like that, even the ones during prime time, prime time commentators are too serious these days D: Also cute how monfils says "ohlala" :'D haha

many class clashes, and 'requirements not met' later  FINALLLLLYYYY FINISHED my unsw timetabling fml. I left friday out to go out hurhur, or just go library to study :) Let me know if you want to hang :) i have a loooooong day on wednesday from 9-6, sigh w.e i'll just have many hours inbetween of doing nothing ahah. But yeah 9am means i have to wake up at like 7am :(, i guess its okay considering i dont have many early mornings compared to my friend who had 4/5 days 9am starts. My timetable looks a lot more chill than others on facebook... or is it just me? freaking unniiii, keen.

GOne out 3 days in a row soooooo tired like woooow i havent even recovered from tuesday's picnic/bbq yet :( tackling someone who is twice my size sure is taxing on the body the next day. met some more future UNSW buddies at A's 18th dinner party :) all you can eat at the star hahah. Fml glad to have a day off tomorrow for my mum's bday celebration and sister's arrival in sydney 8) don't think i could go out another day ahha. I might even get to some UNSW timetabling with my sister :)

UNSW BABY!

Initial high of being accepted into my first preference course at UNSW have all but vapourised due to the frustration of the enrolment process. I was initially fretting actually, even though people were telling me "don't worry your course couldn't rise more than 0.55, that's a crazy change!" well you know what it did, there was a crazy change of 1.3, but in my favour :'D but i kinda feel like i have wasted atar points now, but hey if it rose by 1.3 GG my life would be over

BUT YEAHHHH BOYYY no more anxious nights im going off to UNSW where friends, lovers ;) and good times await. It sunk in today as i updated my facebook profile with "studies at UNSW (the university of new south wales)" that i am now officially a Uni student!!! I've registered for myUNSW made an account with my uni student id and created a password :D you know what when something is facebook official you KNOW it's official hahah, seen a lot of statuses of success on facebook, it makes me happy, all my friends who i've talked to got into their first preference so not too many tears shed! congrats guys, proud of you all and wish you best of luck for this coming year! :)

how surreal, this all seemed like a distant dream in those days of sitting in the airconned library, notes fanned across the table, pen in hand. And now THAT seems like a distant memory, hell school seems like a distant memory writing essays, don't even go there LOL.

Job Hunting #2

So trekked it all the way to Macquarie to job hunt because i'm such a nice friend, and i was surprised that most retail stores will actually accept your resume over there. In blacktown it's pretty much a no, or 'apply online' :/ I have like no savings in my bank account now GG

My parents are so annoying i swear my dad keeps saying "9pm daniel 9pm" fuuaarkkk offf i am well aware that offers come at 9pm, said it when i got up and repeated it when i got home. ALmost as if to deliberately annoy me. Same thing during hsc results/atars aswell just kept bugging me about it for the entire week. Parents: y u so annoying D:D:

The BBQ

So i went to a bbq at bicentennial park today with ruse and girra kids. ANd i met the person who got 5 state ranks and first in ext 2 math etc, shes actually a pretty cool person, really chill and easy to talk to (Y) and no i didnt get her autograph haahhahah, although me and the boys did bag her out for her marks for ohhh around the whole day LOL. Was out for 13 hours today, but im just glad that it didn't rain, i swear i'm like cursed ever since that torrential rain bbq day haha. As soon as the sun came out... gg felt sooooo hot, didn't even bring sunscreen, wellll this jsut means more peeling skin on my back tomorrow :L

Also I said something really really stupid and dog today, nts think carefully of what you say when tipsy, fml i still feel bad even though i apologised :(

So higher school certificate came in the mail today, cute- brb laminating it, loljokes it isnt even worthy of laminating. A day of grid iron, bball and ultimate frisbee LOL, daniel is tired and shall go to sleep. Tomorrow he will hunt for an 18th bday present and proceed to fret over offers, fuck if i get my course tomorrow i will have one great nights sleep, all fingers crossssed. good luck everyone :)

Sunday, January 13, 2013

k im kindof bored lol, cant wait till everyone gets back from overseas. I'm dying to exercise and play tennis again fml, feeling so inactive at home...

maybe i should get my license or get a job or do something productive.... nahhhhh, i'll just continue fretting over uni offers :)

Subconscious fear of losing teeth.

I have a confession to make guys, i may be subconsciously afraid of losing teeth. I have recurring dreams every so often of my teeth falling out. In last night's dream i remember touching my teeth and they'd kindof come out with a sickening suctioning type of feel. I don't really know how to describe it, but you'll know what i mean if you've had teeth removed because of braces.... yeah. Then i remember spitting onto my hand and little chunks of teeth would come out with it. Yellowing of teeth also happens in dreams, but falling out of teeth seems the recurring motif. My subconscious is so paranoid, I think i'll visit the dentist sometime... I also used to have pretty bad breath, but now that im older it's kindof gone, maybe 5 years of constantly chewing gum has paid off HAHAH

SO there was that dream and in a dramatic change of events, i also dreamt that i got into my first preference at UNSW. I was preeeeety happy, maybe is a sign aswell :D:D:D:D plz let me dream come true (excuse me for the corniness)

i bet everyone is going to blog about the heat today, i'll simply give it a mention while i sit under my aircon to mark this special 42degree day. In conclusion, yes it was hot, and yep i ended up going to the library to hibernate with my mate. Ended up spontaneously spending $30 at man to man who were having a closing down sale. FML going out and not spending money is almost paradoxical :/ was in the hunt for places with vacancies, but ended up losing money instead :( FML you know what i hate? being on the cusp of turning 18. Can't join a gym by myself, can't get my own youth allowance and today the freakin morning glory guy wouldnt accept my resume because i'm only 17, should've lied and said i was 18 :( Oh well seems like they only hire 1. fobs 2. people who cant speak english properly 3. koreans. I am none of the listed :(

Yeah i thought $50 pocketmoney a week was a lot, pfttt now that schools out it's nothing, lunch and dinner and BAM! money gone. Need to survive another 2 months until uni...

Job Hunting!

was hard.... handed in a couple resumes, then gave up and proceeded to eat lunch at happy chef and galaxy world with my mate. Then met up with my friend who works there, and she shouted me gloria jeans. I don't really like gloria jeans. And there's my day, went to city heroes first, asked if they were hiring and he said no before even looking up from his game on his iphone :( And then apparently Glue isnt hiring until after february :/:/ at least the staff there were pretty nice. AIYAHHHHHH i feel everyone's desperate for a job now lolll. My priorities now are: get my license, get job fml. But tbh im still fretting about the 16th of january.

ALright so 42 degrees tomorrow, wanted to go gym but i think im just gonna hibernate with the aircon on and read a good book. Been reading kite runner, books are amazing (8 i should invest more time in them.

Goodlife + kudos to Australian educational system

THis will probably be the longest holiday we'll ever get, but tbh im bored already. I want life to start and by life i mean uni! i want things to do and people to meet. THis is the awkward stage where we arent classified as high school students OR uni students, we're NOTHING :O (excuse my momentary existential way of thinking). Even though i havent actually been in Australia for that long, everyone else is busy which means nothing to do aiyahhhh. Saying all this i bet by the time im in uni i'll long for such lengthy holidays, guess the grass always looks greener on the other side.

So i went to goodlife gym today and met a nice 50 year old woman. A and I were both pretty noob and didn't know how to use the various contraptions. SO she helped with bicep, tricep, back, core exercises for  at least an hour, and now my arms feel like tofu. YOu really do feel great after exercising, releasing those endorphins (8 She had such a good body for her age holy shiieetttt no post child sagging to be seen perfect hourglass figure, okay it felt weird to be checking out 50 year old women at the gym LOL.  BUt seriously goes to show how a healthy life style no matter what age will pay off (Y). Afterwards she lectured at us and the whole youth population for eating too much junk food, and how i should eat less rice and how we were bad for not paying attention during health class in high school LOOOOL

My neck got sunburnt today... i dont even know how the gym was indoors... i think i walked outside in the sun for a total of 15 minutes... Is it good to put ice on it? i dont even know.

Now that we dont have school i realise just how pricy it is to go out, i forgot my concession card today so the train ticket to parra cost $5.80. In taiwan/china/hk the metro costs like what 50c australian to wherever you want to go. THen you have to buy lunch and sometimes dinner, for decent food thats $30 or $40 for each outing. I didnt feel it as much during school holidays because i didnt go out much, but now..... #experiencingfinancialdifficulties.

Soooo last day for uac preferences, you know i really appreciate our system, as in the WHOLE BOS system from the hsc to university applications. Even if you get a lower than expected atar you have more than 2 weeks to change your preferences according to your atar, ensuring most people are able to get into uni, how fair of a system is that! also i bitched about how my ranks in high school dragged me down, but you know fair enough because my external marks pulled me up. FOr those who worked harder during the year they were saved by their ranks, it really is a fair system. I've realised this while i was in china, you know they put down a maximum of ONE preference prior to their HSC (gao kao), and if you miss out, bad luck you dont get in. Thats why my cousin who's actually really smart put an inferior course as her preference JUST in case she didnt do so well in the gao kao, in the end she did do well enough to get into the better course, but she didn't want to risk putting it down. How stupid is that, you're just depleting your national of the real intelligent people. So instead of china acquiring her intellect shes off in Germany working in a high end job for BMW. ALso do you guys know how many subjects we offer in our HSC course? yeah i wouldnt either, in china you MUST do chinese and maths and chem/physics or history/geography. What if you're not good at maths? bad luck. My second cousin who's a great singer and musician but not great at maths failed her gao kao, now shes studying a masters in Germany.... In conclusion, i sure as hell am grateful to be living in Australia, and in conclusion #2 it's really strange how different countries can function sooooo differently, in conclusion #3 communism is great in theory but not in practicality (modern history students will know what i mean :))

But back to the main point im still indecisive whether i should go economics at usyd or at unsw LOL i think i'll flip a coin at midnight :) pretty much now comes the great wait until mid january.

New years day 2013

Happy new years day! I cant believe it's 2013 already THE DAY ACTUALLY CAME HAHAHA. a big year is ahead, in fact 2013 is life changing it marks the beginning of uni student life and progression from the small world of high school along with the all important 18 year old milestone for me. I welcome the opportunities that become available, new people that i will meet and most importantly life's freedoms as a university student. Hope everyone's 2013 is one of excitement , freedom and joy. I for one shall be keeping my blog updated to document all my university experiences, jsut so i can read on them many years on with great amusement (like how i do now with my year 10 posts LOOOOL)

okay enough formalities ended up not giong to city because everyone ceebs. I went to the gym for the first time (LOL  DONT LAUGH GUIS) my benching limit was 40kg HAHAHAH and now my arms kill. Ended up having a bbq in the middle of a public park, and when 12am hit random wogs came from everywhere and began letting off their own fireworks... which I assume are illegal AHAHA. But we had a pretty good view heh. As soon as i walked through the door parents started arguing ==' freakin bullshit, they're like kids sometimes. We didnt sleep last night, but instead had a good male dnm sesh about kpop and girls (Y) yeeeee

THe teppenyaki place we went to was cute (8 and he played games with us which involved throwing food and shells at us, heh fun, pretty mess though. I was born into a n asian family, so when i see food on the floor i instantly feel guilty/bad and want to clean it up HAHA. Feelsbad though $30... just came from taiwan land of the cheap everything!

New years Resolutions!:
- get P's
- make many new friends!
- take up table tennis seriously
- get a job
- meet someone life-changing
-  adjust to the life of a uni student!

Just like to thank my friends and girra class of 2012 for the amazing year from the talent quests to the multicultural days to tri school tournaments, dodgeball comps, muckupday and countless other events. Everyone worked hard in extra curricular activities, so hard it's probably why we dropped 9 rankings ;) Still, i'll always remember the good high school times that we shared :)

Much less academic based new years resolutions this year, before we know it 2014 will be here :L Life really begins now guys, so hold on tight for the ride ahead :) Good luck all! bear with me! whether it be in real life or just reading my blog, it's honestly nice to know how some people actually bother to read the ramblings that come out of my head :) (what is wrong with you bored, procrastinating people...loljkssss :D)
2013 come at meeeeeeeeeeee
