hashtag- unilyf

should i just treat blogger as a twitter account, because i have random thoughts in my head that's worth a line of blogworthy insight and as a result I don't bother putting anything down. I dont know where my time goes these days, its been 2 month of semester 2 already and i swear I havent done anything, i go to uni, go home then go to sleep. Nothing is achieved. Can't believe the year 12's are gruduating.... it's already been an entire year since I was in that position. But what i am enjoying are the parties, now that ive done my macroeconomics exams- the parties will ensue, and mid semester break, EVEN MORE TO LOOK FORWARD TO. Going to my first 21st birthday tmr at the argyle (8 should be good, but #feelingsoyoung haha. Sucks making friends with third years because some of them fuggen graduate this year =='.

- been playing a lot of pool
- business society ball coming up, hooray for couples and more couples everywhere lOLOLL
- have made some good quality friends this semester in completely different and unrelated courses, however, content >:)

my subjects:
ARTS1211 australias asian context- bullshit, lecture content isn't even assessed
ARTS1453 background beginners chinese B- difficult, lots of homework
ECON1102 macroeconomics- somewhat interesting,
ACCT1501 accounting 1A- boring as fuck imagine being an accounting for life T___T_

till next time (Whenever that is)

Hi

One month past remarkably quick
- saw a man collapse on the train the other day for the first time in my life, think it was an overdose and then the train was delayed at redfern
- there are A LOT like a noticeably higher amount of asians in blacktown these days especially korean ahha
- i always feel bad for going into tong li every so often just so i can look for snacks to consume during my late night drama watching i never really buy any "proper" food, does anyone else do that? today i saw someone going from station like me into tong li just to buy snacks aswell ^^ heh made me happy
- the cute check out chick at tong li left, 5eva sad now T____T

Resolutions for the new semester
1. study a lot harder and develop a proper study routine
2. become actively involved in career aiding events and societies unlike kpopsoc/ foodloverssoc/ cuesportssoc LOLOLOL
3. play sport routinely every week
4. SLEEP EARLIER <- all="" hardest="" of="" p="" perhaps="" the="" them="">
Okay so the year 12s now have their trials in like 2 weeks THE HELL I swear we only just graduated, soon we won't even be the first years anymore D: soon we wont even be uni students anymore OMG MID LIFE CRISIS LOL.

Have a fine day children :)

every post needs a title now?...

it's so hard to come home before dinner time when you go out nowadays. Haven't been home in a week SO as a result i took my mother out to watch epic today (Y) good son/10. I should go out less though my body is deteriorating and seriously i think i have minor insomnia, haven't been able to sleep well for the past few days even though i've been dead tired everyday. mmmmmm.

bamboo tomorrow yeeeee

FIrst time clubbing @ the star

WELLL few days ago i went clubbing for the first time at marquee the star. Can I say it's pretty overrated, by the time i got in I'd already been waiting in line for 2 hours and was feeling lightheaded and nauseous from combined effects of fatigue, thirst, alcohol and hunger. At least I managed to get in (but that's because of an undisclosed motive that i will disclose later) some of my friends were in so much pain from wearing heels all day that they decided that it would be too painful to dance and bailed out while still in line. Meanwhile I was eager to get in to retrieve my blazer that i lent to a cute girl who was crying outside the club hours earlier because she got kicked out. Wasted like 1 hour doing so and in the end gave up #firstworldgentlemanproblems. Luckily we found each other in the end. WOuld hate to have lost my blazer all the way from Taiwannnn. So guys here are my thoughts on adulthood: I like the freedom of being a young adult, my parents let me go out even when I come home at 12, 1, or 2am but it's also a bad thing because when you go out, one does not simply come home before dark. And one does not simple spend under $100 :(

I should blog more, i feel like my english skills are deteriorating by the second. THis is probably the closest thing to high school essay writing that i get these days. Seriously one time I was just staring at this simple sentence wondering whether it was grammatically correct or not.

GOIng to a hotpot dinner and karaoke birthday party tomorrow, keen, it's good going to a simple dinner outing without having to drink for once. Since when did the dynamics of having a good time change so drastically ahaha.

WELL thats the end of THAT story, first ever semester of uni done and dusted :) great thing about now is TIME TO PARTTAYYY. yesterday had a really nice post stats chill at the city. We really didnt do much had a couple of beers walked around townhall caught the ferry to circular quay on a whim decided to walk around there. Just chatting with friends until 12am at the city, ahhhh the uni life :) SHALL BE MAKING MY DEBUT CLUBBING EXPERIENCE at the star marquee on thursday woohoo excited. :)

the 14th week.

First uni final exams tomorrow/today HOW EXCITING yet obtrusively frightening and confronting at the same time. Especially considering final exams are in a lot of cases worth more than any other assessment or test that we've done throughout the semester. IN ESSENCE, failing your finals means failing your course or vice versa :)

- Guess these'll just be the first of many to come in this excitingly new chapter of my life that is UNIVERSITY.

I added sarcasm and irony without even intending to, oh me.

The university 13 week semester breakdown brought to you by yours truly:
- First half of semester: for social gatherings, partying and familiarising yourself with your coursemates
- Second half of the semester: follow on realisation that you are in fact really behind in your studies
- Last few weeks: attempt to learn previous 10 week content in a couple of weeks
- Week 14 exam week:  cramming commences.

and all this happens in the blink of an eye.

And every new semester is exciting, new courses, new subjects, new buildings and just thinking about what kind of new people from all different places that you'll meet. :] heh

Have to wake up in little more than 5 hours, MY GOD waking up at 6:45 for an 8:45 exam is ridiculous. #westernsydneylyf

Aw man i have a bad feeling about todays microeconomics exam, afagwawe. I'm hardly going to be awake at 8:45 let alone 6:45 :S

Everytime I visit blacktown it becomes more and more asian. First a morning glory, then a smiggle, followed by a yogurberry AND NOW A DAISO WTFF. In a land of bogans do we really have such a market :L

So the other day I saw PDA on an outerworldly level got off the 393 bus to uni then saw a couple making out in the middle of the main walkway, everyone was diverging around them. Went to toilet, came back- STILL MAKING OUT. feelsbad.

The good yet bad thing about uni is that with every semester after finishing your subjects you NEVER have to do them again, but then again there's also a possibility of NEVER seeing the people in your class again. I guess it's hard to get close with people in just one semester. My course is really broad i mean economics, every second asian at unsw does micro or accounting and there are probably over 1k business students. I'm pretty jealous of the civil/med/optom kids who have a small cohort where everyone has to do the same subject and you get really close to everyone in your course.... BUT EH i guess business IS all about having connections.

Still dont know where my life is headed these days, oh well guess i just have to concentrate on finals and GO HARRDD IN SEMESTER BREAK. Uni semester break is pretty awesome, because you have absolutely nothing to worry about and can focus on partying. Got the semester break all planned out with the boys, should be goooood!

The awkward moment when i run out of tissues so i have to use emergency toilet paper for cleaning. ALso i realised just how little i know how to run my own house, don't know where any of the cleaning/cooking utensils are. And so many things happened at my party that I wasn't even aware of myself, I mean DID WE EVEN GO TO THE SAME PARTY LOLOL

Also ordered 18 pizzas delivered had to get put through manager and confirm the orders.... Delivery man had to make two trips to get all the pizzas out of his car gahhaha

aw guise :'D

saw like 20 people i knew today, 4 hour shift, but it was pretty fun (8 the register system works a lot better and is a lot less confusing than subway. I dread every hour because each hour there is a new wave of froyo hungry uni students.  I was non stop on reg for 2hr, my mouth is still dry LOL.

PARTAY TOMORROW GG BANK ACCOUNT.

finally turning 18 omg im so old, when i was 13 I remember thinking how old and mature i would've been when i turned 18 BAHAAHHA naive daniel naive. So i checked exam timetable.... turns out i have an exam in a tent on royal randwick racecourse, seems legit UNSW. THe smell from the race course everymorning is already bad enough and now you expect me to do my final exam in it?!? =='

Thursday, May 30, 2013

Finally got my phone repaired they just got me a brand new one x :D i am satisfied. No more needing to pull out a nokia in public and having to navigate the dinosaur nokia interface. ANd tripview i have never missed you so much. The screen is laughable, at one point in time 10 years ago i was amazed at the fact that this phone has colour.
Also, my mum made me this for winter.... mixed feelings.
Very first shift at moochi this friday from 10-2pm good luck me! i heard swirling/pouring/ whatever you want to call it the yoghurt is frustratingly hard. Come at me moochi.

So i only ever have one 18th in my life and just look at my luck 80% chance of rain gg wp. THis has happened on multiple occasions in the past, and I remember saying how it would continually pop up again in the future, well here we are. My luck's a bitch :/

Thursday, May 23, 2013

Day 1 @ moochi UNSW

Boss: "okay matt you get into the costume at 12pm tomorrow, Daniel you don't have to wear the suit"
-NEK MINNIT-
Boss: "oh you turned up early i'll get you to get into the costume until matt arrives"
SEEEEEMS LEGIT
Yes this is me. And yes I am a good mascot, also instagram famous* except no one knows it's me :(.
Problems of being a mascot:
- YOU SWEAT LIKE CRAZY- dying, i actually obtained a headache in like 15degree rainy and wet weather.
- you subconsciously smile in photos then remember that no one can see you anyway. then you feel silly. THen you realised you can see people but they can't see you and you feel empowered hehehe

Yeah today was pretty crazy i enojoyed the opening though got to be mascot and hand out flyers twas funnnn. Today was probably hte most fulfilling and efficient days i've had in a while. Completed my first shift at moochi, did my speech for concepts of asia and finished my major project for stats. BUt seriously who buys froyo in raining cold weather- still a 10m line outside the store. YEAH GUYS come visit me, i swear i saw everyone today. The girraboys were in the store when i was working got molested in the middle of the store, /feelsbadhahah.
too. much. pink. better get used to it haha. switching from black subway uniform to bright pink is definitely a drastic change

If i was a wise organised person i should be studying for my finals now but.......

Yes today has been a good day.

Saturday, May 18, 2013

yogurberry at blacktown wttffff since when did we become so asian........ first morning glory now yogurberry, but do bogans even eat froyo? LOLL

Friday, May 10, 2013

You know you're tired when...

You lapse into subconsciousness on the train and imagine yourself sitting by the beach at night hearing the sounds of waves crashing against the shore line. You are then genuinely surprised and slightly disorientated when reality smacks you in the face and wake to find yourself sitting in a cityrail tin can westbound and the sounds of the waves crashing are merely the rather unromantic mechanical sounds produced by train wheels contacting rails.

Assessment due at 4pm today- finishes bibliography at 3:52 prints it out, runs down from level 4 of the main library into morven brown building, navigate the fray of other students with essays in hand rushing up and down the spiral staircase. Sprint down level two hallway like a crazed maniac, submit hardcopy at 3:59. TALK ABOUT LAST MINUTE FUUUU. Running to submit thousand word essays, thuh uni life.

Saturday, May 4, 2013

everyone: fuarkkk I'm going well maintaining a HD average.
me: you still get your degree if you just pass right?
#unilyf

I WANT A DRAMA BUDDY NOW. NOWNOWNOW. SOMEONE WHO WATCHES OFFICE GIRLS.

IGA is actually the best thing to have opened on campus my usual routine for lunch is: a $5 salad + half  roast chicken + up and go. Protein, drink and veges- healthy living all day erryydayyyy. ye. And this random lebanese restaurant opened up and were offering free falafels. NOTBAD. Final month of being an under 18 child yo! cannot wait to get into the clubbing scene with the boys. No doubt i'll be going hard out during semester break (Dat rhyme)
Post chinese exam feed, cmon guys admit this is healthy.

It's actually impossible for me to go to sleep before 2am these days, what is even wrong with me.I cant believe people stil give me shit for having a "high" voice in uni >.>

Life of a uni student # 12312214

K so is it possible for someone to be fatter in the morning, because i wore pants without a belt today because I didn't think i needed on in the morning. By the time uni had finished, my pants were falling down and i had to keep readjusting with my hands.
Actually the most comfortable and ingenious seat ever.

strong uni diet/10 bought this tuna salad from IGA today. HEALTHYLIFESTYLEZZZ
UNSW kids...
Obtaining instagram worthy pictures.... received weird looks from other people on the main walkway at the strange first year kid pointing his phone at the sky for the last 10 minutes.

Saturday, April 27, 2013

having my chinese textbook and revision notes open while watching taiwanese dramas because im a resourceful and dedicated chinese uni student (Y) loljks just pretending to study.

Adventures in china

So i went to chinese student association annual dating game show at UNSW yesterday to support a friend. so many fobs everywhere it's as if mainland china had descended upon a single lecture room. It was fun although my friend was pretty inactive :( And there was one guy who didnt get a single red heart and was therefore KO'ed after 5 minutes, saw him later on the early bus to central. by himself. with his lone bag. At age 26, sad life, I felt pretty horrible for him. Annnnndd not a single word of english was heard that day.

Chinatown night markets, it's pretty cool how we have nightmarkets every friday night @ chinatown. Yes although nightmarkets are on pretty much everystreet, everyday in Asia, it's nice to feel a taste of Asia right at home.
UNSW main walkway at night.

Uni adventures #2

Another great night with the boys 3hrs all you can eat Korean bbq @ shinara with food lovers soc. Meat, soju, city heroes and the boys whats not to love. MEANWHILE caught the bus at 1am from railwaysquare dozed off... NEK MINNIT in ashfield looking like a clueless asian tourist in the pitch black darkness. Attempted to wait for nightride in just a shirt- it was like under 10 degrees at night gg. Decided to catch a taxi which ended up costing me THIRTEEN DOLLARS for a 5minute ride back to my sister's place. ouch, right in the wallet.

vegetables- aint no body got time fo dattt
Uni what is even uni, just eating food all day errydayyyyy.
MEANWHILE MID SEMS next week oh god, this is not going to turn out well. Also enrolments for next semester courses are opening up tomorrow. WHAT EVEN, can time just like stop going by so quickly...

Monday, April 22, 2013

amazing race, optom cruise, gamshara

MY GEWWWDDD guys friday had work from 8-2, then optom cruise at night, went home slept for 5 hours made it to the city for UNSW amazing race at 10 and finished up at 3:30. Tried to get up on sunday- actually felt immobilised.
Optom cruise felt like i had found the secret garden of eden, the guy to girl ratio was like 7-3 huehuehue. It was generally a good night, not the greatest of boats but unlimited drinks means any night is a good night :) Optom kids are so exclusive we got such a backlashing when we were asked by 2nd year optom kids what courses we did hahaha. My whole group went so it was engineering, economics, actuarial studies, health and sport science TROLOOL couldn't be further from optom. It was a beautiful night and ive seen our harbour at night so often these days but I still think we live in a beautiful city :D and did you know fireworks go off at the harbour bridge every 10pm, I NEVER KNEW IT but it was just a little TOO coincidental that they just happened to go off everytime i went on a cruise.
Looking smart- tim lam

Then amazing race from darling harbour -> circular quay -> botanical gardens. Ended up with 236 points out of a a possible 300 AND WE CAME FIFTH AND WON FREE MOVIE TICKETS, chyeah boy thats an economic surplus of $10 /no regrets. The awkward moment when first prize was 4 ipod shuffles but the team had 5 members. THe first time we asked when we finished got 261 points so we were pretty disheartened, turns out they came first so mehhhh. It was a pretty good day, I visited more tourist places in my own city in one day than in my whole life. Also you'll find that people in sydney tend to be pretty chill and easy going, there was a challenge where we had to get 5 tourists with 5 cameras all in one photo and take a photo of them with one of our team members in it, Aussies are nice brah :D And also we had to find a particular painting within the museum of contemporary art, and im so used to paying fees for EVERYTHING in china that I forgot how we still have public free museums in sydney (Y).
/excitement turned us supersaiyan
team 34 ;)

NO TIME TO EAT we carried a solid diet of bananas and water the entire day. Had 7 minutes to spare whilst waiting for train bought a bunch of bananas and distributed them amongst ourselves throughtout the day, FUNNIEST SIGHT 4 sweaty first years holding semi peeled bananas attentively looking at landmarks and running around. STRONG BULKING DIET. And yes i did wear that shirt two days in a row and yes i did sweat in them on those two consecutive days (Y)

Man going out too much and consuming WAYYYYY too much junkfood. This monday we went to gamsharaaaaaa (Y) best ramen broth.

THE RAMEN FOR MEN, except tim lam too soft couldn't finish it as usual.

And here is a picture of cat chilling (sisters)

p.s. FINALLY FINISHED MEMOIRS OF A GEISHA YEEEEEEEEEE, ending was ok not that great.

Friday, April 12, 2013

oh man. work then optom cruise tomorrow followed by a 6 hour unsw amazing race around the city on saturday. Then on sunday must catchup in all uni work. GOD THIS UNI LIFE, i think if i moved out closer to my uni, i'd have A LOT more free time on my hands, i left uni at like 9 today but ended up getting home at 11:30. I actually finished my tute at 3pm but decided to go macquarie university to visit a friend, I have to admit their campus is quite nice and feels a lot bigger than UNSW maybe because they have a bigger lawn and a pretty cool fountain- I mean although our waterfeature is a sculpture of a naked lady lying down as cool as that is, water trickling from her hand cannot compare to a gushing water fountain in the middle of campus :/ I like how we have more grass in our quad though, and i like the general "mainwalkway" type design of UNSW seems more confusing in macquarie. ALthought the trees are pretty beautiful/majestic. /forgot to snap pics

Tuesday, April 9, 2013

So got my stats project today. GG actually GG. Fuck man at this rate legit going to fail, sucks how i have work before my 2hr stats lecture, by the time i get into the lecture i'm just so tired. /getttingsnowedunder.

Harry's + first uni exam

First uni exam for microeconomics today worth 15% actually wasn't too bad, and the format is exactly like hsc, except probably less formal. Our tutor used the internet stop watch to keep track of time, I think I kept staring at the ad for socks above it for a good solid 5minutes lawl.
Monday eating adventureeessss- harry's famous tiger pie. Flash in the night does not do justice to the scrumptious peas, mash potato and chunky beefy masterpiece, although it did get a bit too peppery at the end for my liking. It's actually just the food truck outside capitol but i've never eaten there before. Due to daylight savings it's almost pitch black by 6 at uni, feels weird hahaha, but the mainwalkway lit up and the shadows of the trees is pretty beautiful (Y). There are still heaps of buildings I've never bee to such as red centre, k17 etc etc. unilyf is tiring but enjoying the freedom to do whatever at the city after (Y).

Eating @ eastwood

What's there to do at eastwood? why, EAT OF COURSE. visited 3 restaurants at eastwood with some old girras, but mainly pigged out at homers cafe. The waitresses were cute :3

We spent so much time just eating LOL
Reflection luvos in homer's cafe (Y)

Guess what guys, so i was cleaning my room the other day and I found a box of ancient eclipse mints.
*best before 28/1/2011 TROLOLOL more than 2 years old, seriously tempted to give them a go, they didn't even look that back when i opened the box up :P

First microeconomics exam tmr, CEEEEEEEEEEBS.

diet, parties and cruises.

okay first of all, please stahp saying i look like david choi, where ever i go :<
Yesterday got pretty rowdy but $9 for drinks and $9 for a shot WTTTTTF, and my innocent drink bottle full of WATER got thrown out so i was thirsty all night fml. There were so many uni cruises last night, actually namely unsw and usyd but there were like 4 or 5 different uni cruises. Still regret about tiawanese cruise, dont even want to see pictures because it'll make me depressed, the lack of drinks on bsoc cruise was sad :( Also it started majorly raining aswell just before the cruise arghhhhh.

*waits for girls outside toilet
nek minnit FIXING MAKEUP AND TAKING LUVOS FOR 40MINUTES.

I really should start looking after my diet better. I'm so lazy nowdays i either dont pack anything for lunch or I just pack like a boiled egg and a piece of bread or something. ALso when I rush in the morning I skip breakfast or I just eat the default boiled egg again. It's pretty horrible.

And yesterday was the first time i've ever been to carlingford station, It's actually like rural or some shit and smells like cow pats everywhere. LOL

Also not being 18 sucks*
- this uni life. too. much. freedom.

oh yeah and happy easter, mid sem break etc etc. Have got to make the most of my break to catch uppppp.

Thursday, March 28, 2013

Thursday- party nighhtt!

UNSW students getting looooose today, last day of uni (whutalready) then good friday and mid semester break yeahhhhhh. toga party, bsoc cruise, opm easter clubbing @ marquee, tsa cruise which one will YOU be choosing tonight? :P hopefully bsoc cruise goes offfffff. It sucks because although i finish uni at 3 i cant go home and get changed ==' so going to have to change at uni, I have my emergency gatsby ready LOLOL. looking forward to my sleep tonight, getting a good 7hours at this rate (Y). I like how events like these used to be rare and special occasions, but at uni its just like yeah whatever and at discounted prices. Mates going pontoon for afterparty today, AND IM UNDERAGE dat underagelyf guess i'll have to go home then :((( hahah. After this need to use my mid semester break wisely and catch up on EVERYTHING that i've been falling behind in. Will go to one event during the break Bsoc beach day @ coogee beach next friday, BUT THAT IS ALL. It's not really mid semester considering its only week 4 and theres still another 9 weeks of uni left. It's going to be one looooong second semester!

Wednesday, March 27, 2013

I am sitting here at 10:30am eating 3 boiled eggs trying to subtly peel them in biomed theatre hall. THIS IS WHAT I GET FOR SLEEPING LATE and not having time for breakfast. :( There is a free outdoor cinema today on library lawn showing 'brave'- haven't seen it before so I'm tempted, but have no one to go with 5evaalonelyf~

Taiwanese student association- place to be unlimited drinks glass floor cruise boat GG TOO BAD IM NOT GOING, should've just screwed it and gone to tsa cruise. ALSO i wana go opm at marquee T________T datunderagelyf. :(

Some late night self reflection

*i've never been to uni on a rainy day yet, or at night (excluding the night of foam party because that doesn't count). I've fallen pretty behind in uni and it's only week four, I dont think im going to sleep tonight. Pretty disappointed in myself. I need to grow up and learn how to juggle multiple responsibilities at once, and not neglect one or the other. In other words i have to be more efficient with my time and procrastinate less. But typing it out is one thing, doing it is another. Feels like im in the debt trap cycle*, i'm just always tired then unproductive, then go to sleep late and then the next day I'm tired again. Have to get my head in the game. This is my career we're talking about Daniel- Don't fuck around.

*4 more years of economic references to come (Y)

Tuesday, March 26, 2013

So this is what happens when I receive an easter egg from my manager during a MORNING shift and i  have to travel with it all the way to uni and back. It's okay it still tastes good (Y)

YOu'd think party nights are on fridays, but not at uni. This thursday there are three awesome events i'd like to go such as: roundhouse toga party, tsa cruise and bsoc cruise unfortunately as the scarcity principle states, resources are limited :( therefore I had to choose only one :(:(:(( and i heard the tsa cruise has unlimited drinks and their boat looks like a floating hotel :(:(:(. devs. But hopefully bsoc cruise will go off, although i do fancy the idea of turning up at a party in a bedsheet. SIGH. Mid semester break coming up! break already.... but then again we've actually been at uni for a whole month already- still feeling like the awkward uni newb chime hahah. hope all is wellllll.

I made a salami, pepperoni, turkey, steak and chicken fillet sub for myself today LOLOLOOL. too good. Worked reg for the first time aswell, impatient pregnant bogans scare the fuck out of me. Got home at 7:30 it is now 9, leaving me 3 hours to complete my concepts of asia journal/ chinese for tomorrow. looks like no sleep tonighhhtttt. (Y)

Thursday, March 21, 2013

Screw boost I would die for an easyway on campus. For some reason although easyway is as expensive if not more than boost, I'm willing to spend my money on easyway.... Maybe its the Asian inside of me....

I'm not sure whether i like this weather or not, you stay in the shade it's actually freezing and the wind pierces you like needles. Then you stay out in the sun and you start sweating....

that is all.

Sunday, March 17, 2013

Crisis averted ^^ all this tutorial homework CEEEEEEEEBBBSS, I'm so lazy >.< I spent the whole of yesterday playing LoL and chilling :(:( have to get my head in the game STARTING FROM TODAY.   Uni still seems surreal, the transition has been fast and relatively smooth, I thought it'd be like a sharp cliff face, but it's turned out to be more like a gentle incline. High school seems like so long ago, how'd i end up here already haha, but before you know it BAM aged 22 graduating from uni. I just hope by that time i would've gained a lot more worldly knowledge and wisdom (Y)

Friday, March 15, 2013

WHY DOES BUSINESS SOC CRUISE AND TAIWANESE SOC CRUISE HAVE TO BE ON THE SAME DAY. Do i go to the bsoc cruise with all my mates and potential future classmates and business students using a free ticket that I won at camp OR do i go to the taiwanese cruise with a ticket that I already bought and promised to go with a girl. T_______T brb applying cost benefit principle trololol, but seriously. Mates have given me mixed opinions :L

Do i even uni work? LOLNOPE

Uni days

Have literally had no time or willpower to blog, work, uni and transport times are just gg gahhh. But last couple of days have been pretty packed went to bsoc camp everything got just a little bit roowwddyyyy, it was an alcohol fuelled weekend that left me more tired than before hahaha but it was good (Y).
 ^ Milson island (Y)
^River shore
^First meal at uni food court, so good. The meat is more than 3x outside kebab shops- $7, dem uni prices.
^strawberry, mango, watermelon froyo after a 6hour uni day. Cost $10 but so good, ate this in 10 minutes between three guys, we should get more next time LOL.
^ dat unsw bus line.

Soz doing more photo blogging now LOLOL. But in summary uni right now is: tiring.

Friday, March 8, 2013

Daily woes of living in the west.
Joined filmsoc- can only attend half of the movie because a 2.5hr movie at 6pm makes it impractical to get home.
Gets home and eats dinner at 10:30- cannot be good for body according to basic high school health education :(:( and also eating at the dinner table alone :(
/needs more hours in the day

sleep in tomorrow yay, and by sleep in I mean not having to wake before 8am.........

freefood haul of the day:
food lovers soc- free sausage sandwich
bsoc welcome- free pizza and drink
quidditch soc- free food
filmsoc- free pizza, beer, soft drinks

(Y) good day good day indeed. Had a one hour lecture from 9-10 and ended up spending the whole day on campus. LOL

Uni would be amazballs if it was 15minutes away you can just rock up to uni for club/ social events anytime you want instead of planning like 3-4 hours beforehand it's just ridiculous. I had work from 9-12 today and uni starts at 2pm, the fact that the manager had to give me 2 hours between work and uni is just.... laughable. In reality uni hours are a lot less than school hours for me, but it just feels like SUCH a long day. Haven't even gotten assignments/hw yet don't even know how I'm going to juggle it all. Friend started his law tutes this week, and by the time he got home at 10pm he couldn't even be bothered to do his homework. So he didn't do his first ever homework.... great start to uni LOLOL.

Still have to buy textbooks waiting for the 1k govt assistance to roll in, I just can't afford them atm T_T. Using my brain more these two days than the last 3 months gg. My handwriting had just deteriorated into chicken scratch.

Lecture room! will have to get used to this setting/learning environment for the years to come. Law building is actually pretttty nice, had my stats lecture in there today, heard it can get pretty hardcore...

I hate girls who give weak/awkward/afraid to touch/germ paranoid handshakes. STAHPIT. Feels like im forcing you or some shiieeeee. WOuld be a chill day tomorrow if i didnt have to get up at fuggen 7am =='

Uni- the first day

Uni lecture virginity has been taken away (sorry to put it so harshly LOLOL). Well my first day consisted of four hours of lectures in a row. Didn't even have time to eat was blatantly nomming a chicken wing and sandwich during chinese lecture. All administrative, instructional stuff today nothing too serious, just glad that none of my lectures just happened to be cancelled or something. Although we did get right into learning chinese with the pinyin + basic characters. Pretty funny seeing an entire 170person lecture room chanting "bo, po, ne, le etc etc". ANd the four different tones of shi. hahah.

Went to moochi interview at strathfield got to the trial stage, found out I had no available times this week so had to do the trial today. Got told to come back on thursday at 3pm before subway work because it wasn't busy enough. Ty for wasting 30minutes of my time~ but its okay at least i got the basics right and I won't be a complete noob on thursday. The workings of moochi is a lot simpler than at subway woooooow a lot less things to handle. Pretty much just froyo machine then toppings- done. Add a smile here or there and you're good. HOPEFULLY I GET THE JOB AND ALL YOU UNSWers can visit me on campus wahahahhaha

Got home and ate dinner at 9, dat 4hour daily travel time, dat uni lyf. Work, then 2hr Economic and business stats lecture tomorrow aigoooo. How do I even have time for readings and pre tutorial plannings T_T well have to get used to this active lifestyle. Didn't meet/see any girra's today, just hung out with all the newbs, it's a good thing or then I would've been lonered hahaa. Guess this is uni, your close friends have other commitments so you make friends with whoever is with you at the time! :L
THink I'm coming down with a cold :(
What happens in microeconomics ECON1101 LOLOL

Last day of freedom

I went to the cuesports soc welcoming event yesterday at cityheroes. 1hr lesson for a heavily subsidised cost of $2 followed by free social pool from 2-4. TOOOOOO GOOOOOD. Learnt the basic proper stance for snooker, bridging and foot placement. Was good, you should join if you're a girl because 1. there are many guys 2. heavily discounted games 3. you get special treatment LLOL. For example the lessons that the group of 4 newb girls had went on for twice as long as ours. THen during social pool they got "free" training from one of the executives for another 2 hours, while surrounding them were 5 tables of guys who coincidently had no supervision whatsoever. lold. On another note L managed to create the worst possible 8ball game in history.
This was like a thirty minute game of not sinking anything, the game finished because my mate knocked the 8 ball with his hand- talk about nooooob :L

Was going to go mardi gras because yolo + already in city. But my dad had his man period and therefore i was not able to go, I came home early and he still raged at me for going out too much. woooooow. My mate wasn't going to go, nek minnit a girl we met at foam party tells him to go with her group, suddenly he is keen and told me to stay at the city when I was already on the train =='.  Stupid boys .

I didn't even realise that because I have business camp on friday I can't do my friday shift at subway. Thank god my sister reminded me, how bad of an impression would that be towards my manager shiiiieeee. Luckily I was able to swap shifts with my friend but manager still hasnt responded to me yet :/:/ GOes to show I'm still a kid such responsibilities don't even occur to me.

This is going to be a crazy first week: work, uni, bsoc camp, moochi interview, business peer mentoring, club/socs welcome events aiyahhh. Will have to actually prioritise my time now, this doesn't sit well with me, because when it comes to time I'm just the best at wasting it. Well time to change, time to turn over a new leaf and start afreshhh (pun intended). Good luck class of 2012 or shall I say uni freshmen 2013 :'D- embracceeee the freedom! and live a little!

O-week Day 4 & 5

IT'S MARCHHHH! the first month of universitty liffeee officially started /mixedemotions. Hope the March highschool -> uni transition goes smoothly (8

So a night of ice and fire (foam party): wellllll that was both the most enjoyable yet painful experience that I have come in contact with for a while. BUT I REGRET NOTHING from the intensive (not really) plan to infiltrate an 18+ only event to actually being able to attend the event albiet plagued by great paranoia and intensive id card swapping. And finally getting soaked to the bone and walking to maccas in the rain with soggy underwear and clothing. MCDONALDS HAS NEVER TASTED SO GOOD IN MY LIFE, everyone just bought a hunger deal and devoured it. All my under 18 mates were able to get in! (without other id) hurrr success never tastes so good unless there is difficulty to achieve it! And here is a timeline of photos to depict the epic journey
Trivia night IN the roundhouse where the foam party was to be held. We tried concentrating on the trivia but everyone else had other things on their minds :) T suggested we hide behind the bar for the next 2 hours until 6, which no one was keen to do.

Instead we retreat to the roundhouse toilets to devise our plans LOLLLOL we seriously contemplated just staying inside the toilets for 2 hours, but in the end decided not to.
Eventually came outside without drawing to much attention as subtly as a group of 5 guys wearing formal shirts and simultaneously exiting the deserted toilets can be. Surveyed the area and noted slightly ajar windows and possible entry ways. Discussed emergency plans which included completely irrational measures such as buying o week yellow shirts and dressing up or pretending to help and set up.
In the end we casually walked into the unibar cool and collected (since it connected to the trivia area) Remained there for a good hour until friends came and we began to blend within the crowd. THe last step was here the security came in to check ID's and give entry stamps on peoples' arms. O and I went into the toilets where he attempted to slip me his ID card the most subtle way possible, which ultimately failed considering the toilet was packkkeddd and then the security guard walked in half way... In the end a mate of mine said his stamp was really wet and just pressed it onto my arm.
And in the end the sweet taste of dishonourable victory can be enjoyed- strong uni life debut party/10. WOOOOOOOO it was such an amazing night got to know a lot more first year students atmosphere was greeeeeaaattttt! Stayed in that foam pit for a good 2hours with wrinkly hands and stinging eyes being the ultimate outcome. TOo many slimy slippery bodies around me the entire night hahahhaha. Music was shit to begin with, I don't really appreciate rock at clubs not enough bass to really get anyone going, after bounce came on the pace really picked up and the night turned into what I was expecting :D
To whoever has to clean this up biggest gg ever I swear, the floor was just littered with broken cups, bottles, foam, tissues, food. MY mate spilled a cup of beer and the carpet absorbed it into nothingness LMFAO i think that's what it's meant to do, hide the spills as much as possible. 2nd year students tell me it's pretty gross when it's not night time and you can see everything clearly. HAHA I like how we're like the cute first year noob students :) Everyone all night was jsut asking "oh are you first year? second year?". I found myself asking my mate if he thought so and so was a first year student like us or not :L

Okay biggest CSB post ever i know #feelsliketheultimatesneakyninjaman.

Shark slide and jelly wrestling during the dayyyyyy.

Maccas run at 2am in the morning then walked back to the uni in the pouring rain with two dodgy umbrellas shared between 4 guys. Just picture it, 4 foamy guys one with a towel on his head (me) attempting to warm himself because he only brought a t shirt, another with a stitched up foot all huddling under two black leaking umbrellas. We were just wondering how we were able to get ourselves into such a situation. Oh wait it's because O wanted to stay all night and camp at village green, except it was raining and we ended up going to red centre, med building, library and abs to seek shelter. A sad sight indeed LOL. soggy shoes and chaffing wet chinos nevar again I tell you.
And yeppp this is what we ended up with. (Y) First years represeenttttt. Trekking to the bus stop at 6am in the morning was just the worst, windy and raining and just generally unpleasant. I don't think i've felt as cold as I did yesterday for many MANY years. Damn troll unpredictable weather :/ I actually think we should've just stayed in the ASB all night, i mean WHO CARES IF STUDENTS COME. THen we could totaly just rock up for the last day of O-week. But whatevvss I heard the last day isn't that great anyways.

Although I'm tired i just hate the notion of taking naps or even just sleeping during the day. I'd rather just stay tired until night and sleep a bit earlier... Same with sleeping on public transport I jsut cannot fathom how you guys do it....

Can't believe I start uni OFFICIALLY after all these months on monday. I feel so unprepared my brain has turned to mush, WILL IT BE ABLE TO HANDLE LEARNING!??!? Oh and I also have an interview for moochi @ UNSW the same dayyyyy. Fingers crossed I get it, the pay is just sooo much better than subway. Got my roster today working tuesday mornings and thursday afternoons not too bad hahah just sucks  having to trek back and forth from uni to blacktown.

Man i've had so much fun this week O-week was boring at times but I still think it lived up to it's reputation (Y) definitely worth going to. Met so many people and caught up with old ones and uni hasn't even really started yet :) Like for example I met someone who followed my tumblr aggges ago hurrrrr before introducing our names she asked what my url was first hahahhahahhaahhahahah, too good made my night. Guess it wasn't too bad because I knew one of her friends. funfunfun.
